Blessings to you all for Trinity Sunday this week, and may you be filled with the Lord’s joy as you worship the Lord with us. Our theme for our service will be the Great Commission of Jesus in Matthew 28:16-20, and in the message I’ll be looking at how the Trinity is involved in gently increasing our ever widening circles of mission. Like space probes using gravity to slingshot us further out, we participate with the whole Trinity in mission as he increases our circles from smaller ones to larger ones. I want to encourage all of you as you explore the message this week to know that mission does not have to be seen as such a massive project and initiative that it scares us into inaction. It starts with simple visits to people like new neighbours, offering gifts, a cup of tea, sharing with them that you have a faith, and being patient as relationships grow. This pattern of going out intentionally to bless people who might be strangers and then coming home again is a regular circle of mission that God encourages us all to do!
